Emirates is to launch a second daily service on its Dubai-Glasgow route from June 1, and will also introduce a first class cabin on both flights. The additional service will depart Glasgow daily at 2130, landing in Dubai at 0800 the following day, with the return leg leaving at 14.50 and landing back in the Scottish city at 2000. The service will be operated with A340-300 aircraft, configured for 12 first class seats, with 42 business class and 213 in economy. At the same time the existing daytime flights will be upgraded to a three-class B777-300ER aircraft, configured for eight suites in first class, 42 seats in business and 310 in economy. The extra service and aircraft capacity will result in a 47 per cent increase in the carrier's capacity on the route.
